The Friends of the SPCO is the volunteer organization that supports The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra through educational, social and fundraising activities.
The Friends, organized in 1977 and incorporated in 1984, have now been supporting the SPCO for 47 years, serving as ambassadors for the Orchestra and the exciting, intimate world of chamber music.
Each year brings a variety of Friends events that help raise funds for the SPCO and introduce broad audiences to the musicians and their work. These include a popular music lecture program presented by Dr. Daniel Freeman – three four-week series per year, each addressing a different topic in depth. We also offer educational activities for young people, social events with a strong focus on music, opportunities to become acquainted with SPCO musicians and gatherings to show our appreciation to the musicians and staff.
You are very welcome to take part in our Friends programs and help us support and promote the SPCO! We would love to meet you and include you in our activities.
Great music needs great friends – and we look forward to sharing this friendship with you!
